Investments of Impact: Professional Women’s Conference to Inspire Leadership and Development

Successful companies know the importance of investing in products, services and technology to stay competitive in a fast-paced business environment. But nothing is more strategic, more forward-thinking, and more necessary than investing in the people working behind the resources to help a business grow and thrive.

Conferences, leadership trainings, workshops and industry-specific upskilling programs are forms of professional development that prioritize employee growth, which leads to measurable gains in innovation, productivity and retention. In fact, a report published by LinkedIn for Learning notes that 94% of employees stay longer at companies that invest in professional development.

The bottom line is that employees can envision their professional future more clearly when their leaders are the ones handing them the glasses. The time and attention offered to emerging leaders, especially women, signals to them that their advancement matters.

In Indiana, more than 500 attendees will gather at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City on Nov. 12  to experience an impactful day of development, strategy and connection during the  Professional Women’s Conference, presented by the Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association (NWIIWA).

Andrea Pearman, executive director of NWIIWA, said the organization’s mission with the conference is to ensure that business owners and employees aren’t disregarding professional development opportunities because the phrase has become overly used office lingo. Instead, she said, the conference is a reminder that professional development builds a foundation of real change and growth for individuals and companies.

“As we continue to hear stories from those who have attended the conference in the past, we are reminded why this event is so crucial to businesses operating in industries across the board,” said Pearman. “Attendees are walking away with actionable insights that are transforming the way they work. They are returning to their workplaces with new tools and clear directions about how to successfully implement them. They are more confident, more driven, and more committed.”

This year’s event, scheduled for 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 12, is packed with dynamic speakers, informative breakout sessions, networking opportunities and an exhibitors showcase. The list of speakers is available here.

Tickets for the conference are $229 and include both keynotes, three breakout sessions, breakfast, lunch, networking opportunities, admission to the exhibitor’s showcase, and chances to win prizes. Event sponsorships and exhibitor space are also available. To reserve a booth, sponsorship or tickets, visit www.professionalwomensconference.com/sponsorships-tickets.
